Jeep Wrangler Commando 392 by Fox Factory Cranks Out 470-HP
The Jeep Wrangler Commando 392 Special Edition, a limited-edition SUV built by Jeep and Fox Factory, has been announced as a high-performance off-road beast. Based on the Wrangler platform, the Jeep Wrangler Commando 392 features a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 delivering 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. In a move sure to excite purists, this power is routed through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission. The build is extremely limited and is being offered almost exclusively to veterans and active-duty service members.
Serious Off-Road Hardware
The Jeep Wrangler Commando 392 is far more than an appearance package; it’s a complete off-road overhaul.
- Fox Factory Suspension: The vehicle is buoyed by a Fox Factory performance suspension system, including dual-resistance 2.5-inch bypass shocks up front and coil-over remote-reservoir units at the rear. This setup delivers up to 15 inches of suspension travel and ensures the vehicle is fully Trail Rated.
- Heavy-Duty Axles and Gearing: It features a heavy-duty front Dana 60 axle and aggressive 5.13:1 gearing.
- Wheels and Tires: Power is sent to the ground via massive 40-inch all-terrain tires mounted on black bead-lock 20-inch wheels.

Interior and Exclusivity
The cabin of the Jeep Wrangler Commando 392 receives unique, rugged touches.
- Custom Interior: The interior gets Ferrari-style red-stitching, aluminum switchgear, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel embossed with the Commando logo. A four-point roll cage rounds out its rugged intentions.
- Modern Tech: The vehicle remains current with Uconnect 5, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
- Limited Availability: The text provides conflicting numbers, stating 392 units will be built worldwide, but also that only 250 units will be produced.
- Veterans Only: Of the production run, 249 units are reserved exclusively for active-duty service members and veterans. The final unit will be auctioned to the public during Military Appreciation Month.
- Pricing: The vehicle starts at US $69,995, with first deliveries expected in early 2026.
