2026 Brezza Facelift is real, and it has just been spotted on Indian roads for the first time.
A fully camouflaged test mule was seen driving around Gurgaon Sector 21, giving us our first look at the next version of India’s popular SUV. While the thick covers hid most of the details, two things were clear: a fresh design is coming, and Maruti is fixing the biggest complaint about the current model.
Here is our simple expert analysis of what the new spy shots reveal.

The Big Change: Underbody CNG (More Boot Space)

The test car had a CNG sticker, but the rear looked different. This strongly suggests Maruti is testing a new Underbody CNG setup.
- The Problem: Right now, the Brezza CNG has a huge tank in the trunk. You get zero space for luggage.
- The Fix: The 2026 Brezza Facelift will likely move the tank under the floor (or use twin-cylinder tech like Tata).
- The Result: You finally get a full, usable boot. You can carry bags and save money on fuel. This is a direct attack on the Tata Nexon iCNG.
Fresh Design and New Features

Even through the camouflage, we can see changes.
- Sharper Face: The front bumper and grille look redesigned, likely to make the Brezza look more aggressive and modern.
- New Rear: The tail-lights and rear bumper also seem to have a new shape.
- Interior Tech: We expect the 2026 model to get a larger infotainment screen and a digital driver display to match the competition.

Our Expert Verdict
The 2026 Brezza Facelift is not just a cosmetic update; it is a strategic upgrade.
The Brezza is already a sales king. But by fixing the CNG boot space issue and refreshing the looks, Maruti is making sure it stays ahead of the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue for the next few years.
Launch Timeline: Since testing has just started, expect this new Brezza to launch in early 2026.
