Wuling Binguo Plus EV Spotted in India: A Possible New EV from JSW-MG
The electric vehicle (EV) market in India is buzzing with new possibilities. The Wuling Binguo Plus EV, a small electric hatchback, has been spotted in a Mumbai parking lot, leading to speculation that it could be the next EV from JSW-MG Motor India. The company had already trademarked the “Binguo” name last year, and this latest sighting suggests that a launch might be closer than we think. This new Wuling Binguo Plus EV is set to be a major competitor in the country’s growing EV segment.

A Curvy and Modern Design
The spied Wuling Binguo Plus was seen without any camouflage, showing off its modern and curvy design. The front has a distinctive diamond-shaped parametric grille with round, X-shaped LED headlights. On the sides, it features 15-inch steel wheels with covers and a sloping, coupe-like roofline. The rear of the car is also stylish, with wraparound LED taillamps, giving it a unique look that sets it apart from other EVs in the segment.
Impressive Range and Performance
The Wuling Binguo is already sold in other markets and comes with a choice of two battery packs. The smaller battery has a 31.9 kWh capacity and a claimed range of 333 km, while the larger 37.9 kWh pack offers a range of 410 km. The recently spotted Binguo Plus is even more impressive, with a larger 50 kWh battery that gives it a claimed range of 501 km on a single charge. All variants are paired with a 50 kW motor. The exceptional range makes the Wuling Binguo Plus EV a very practical choice for urban and highway use.

Market Position and Future Outlook
The Binguo Plus measures just over 4 meters in length, which is a great size for the Indian market. It is expected to be positioned above the MG Comet EV, offering a larger size and a longer range. JSW-MG Motor India has already launched the Comet and Windsor, which are sold under the Wuling brand internationally. It is likely that the Wuling Binguo Plus EV will be given a new name for the Indian market to align with the MG brand. This new model will strengthen MG’s presence in the growing EV segment and directly compete with models like the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400.
