Volvo EX30 EV Launched in India, Undercuts Rivals with a ₹39.99 Lakh Price Tag
Volvo India has launched its new entry-level EV, Volvo EX30 SUV, with a very aggressive introductory price of ₹39.99 lakh (ex-showroom). For buyers who book before October 19, 2025, this price makes the EX30 the most affordable entry-level luxury EV in India. After this date, the price will increase to ₹41 lakh. Deliveries for the EX30, which is locally assembled in Bengaluru, are set to begin in the first week of November.
A Strong Rival in the Luxury EV Segment
The Volvo EX30 is strategically priced to compete with a host of other luxury EVs in India. With its introductory price, it undercuts popular models like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, which is priced at ₹46.34 lakh, and the BMW iX1 LWB, which starts at ₹54.9 lakh. Even after the price increases, the EX30 will remain a highly competitive option, offering a premium EV experience at a much more accessible price point.

The India-spec Volvo EX30 comes with a large 69kWh lithium-ion battery that provides a WLTP range of 480km on a single charge. It is powered by a rear-axle-mounted electric motor that produces 272hp and 343nm of torque, allowing it to go from 0 to 100kph in just 5.3 seconds.
The EX30 is also packed with premium features, including a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with built-in Google, and a powerful 9-speaker 1040W Harman Kardon sound system.
