V12 Safari Ferrari: First Porsche, Then Lamborghini — Now a V12 Safari Ferrari Joins the Offroad Party
V12 Safari Ferrari has officially joined the growing off-road supercar segment. Virginia-based GlasWerks DMV unveiled the Elevato, a radical reimagining of Ferrari’s GTC4Lusso shooting brake, at SEMA 2025. This custom, luxury off-roader produces 758 horsepower from its naturally aspirated V12 engine and features a host of competition-grade off-road components. The V12 Safari Ferrari proves that luxury adventure vehicles do not need to sacrifice visceral driving thrills, offering a powerful, bespoke alternative to factory models like the Porsche 911 Dakar and Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato.

Elevato: More Than Just a Lifted Ferrari Supercar
The Elevato concept was inspired by GlasWerks DMV CEO Adrian Mallory’s own Porsche 911 Dakar, demonstrating the strong market demand for highly capable, adventure-ready performance vehicles.
- Donor Vehicle: The project is based on the now-discontinued Ferrari GTC4Lusso (which replaced the Ferrari FF).
- Engine & Power: The Elevato retains the 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine. The stock engine produces 680 horsepower and 514 lb-ft of torque. GlasWerks DMV has increased output to 758 horsepower, thanks to revised tuning.
- Off-Road Engineering:Roberto Molina, former head of Toyota Gazoo Racing Latin America, led the engineering. The team replaced over 30 percent of the suspension components.
- Ground Clearance: Increased to eight inches of ground clearance and nine inches of wheel travel.
- Suspension: Features strengthened billet aluminum axles and three-way adjustable MCS dampers.
- Wheels & Tires: Rides on 19- and 20-inch staggered Pirelli Scorpion All-Terrain rubber.
- Utility: Includes an onboard air system to air up tires after off-road excursions.

The Market for Safari Supercars
The Elevato capitalizes on a trend that has evolved from grassroots modification into a legitimate, high-end market segment.
- Pioneering Trend: The Safari style began decades ago with Porsche 911 owners modifying their cars for off-road use.
- Factory Offerings: Limited-edition factory models validate the market’s existence:
- Porsche 911 Dakar: All 2,499 units sold immediately, priced at $225,000.
- Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato: Even rarer, capped at 1,499 units, with sticker prices starting at $279,000.
- Pricing: The Elevato conversion starts at $175,000, not including the donor car. Used GTC4Lussos typically trade around $300,000. The total cost of the Elevato (near $500,000) places it close to the price of a spec’d-out Ferrari Purosangue.
- Exclusivity: Co-founder Joshua Sroka confirmed they are developing multiple Elevatos simultaneously, each configured differently for specific customer needs.

Final Thoughts
The GlasWerks DMV Elevato is a phenomenal blend of Ferrari’s V12 engine and true off-road engineering. It perfectly meets the demand for performance vehicles that embrace adventure without sacrificing driving thrills. This project is a potent demonstration that the safari-style supercar is a legitimate and growing segment, driven by enthusiasts who crave exclusivity and capability in their high-performance machines.
