TVS has just hit a huge milestone! For the first time ever, the company sold more than half a million vehicles in a single month. In August 2025, they recorded an impressive 5,09,536 units sold, which marks a substantial 30% increase compared to the 3,91,588 units sold in the same month last year.
This record-breaking performance was largely driven by the two-wheeler segment, which saw a 30% surge in sales. That’s a jump from 3,78,841 units to 4,90,788 units. Looking at the domestic market alone, two-wheeler sales were also very strong, increasing by 28% year-on-year.
Breaking it down even further, both motorcycles and scooters contributed significantly. Motorcycle sales were up 30%, while scooters saw an even more impressive 36% growth. This means popular models like the Apache series, Jupiter, and Raider 125 are performing exceptionally well.
TVS is also making solid progress on the electric front. In August 2025, they sold 25,138 EVs, which is a decent increase from last year. The company did mention that they’re still facing some challenges getting enough magnets, but they’re not letting that slow them down. In fact, they just launched a brand new electric scooter, the Orbiter, which is priced to be more affordable at under Rs. 1 lakh.
Another major reason for their record-breaking success is their international business. Overseas shipments jumped by a whopping 35% in August, with two-wheeler exports alone surging by 36%. This shows that their motorcycles and scooters are in high demand well beyond India’s borders.

And it wasn’t just two-wheelers! TVS’s three-wheeler segment also had a fantastic month, with sales jumping a massive 47%. That means they sold 18,748 units in August, a huge leap from 12,747 units the year before.
This kind of growth across the board—from motorcycles and scooters to EVs and three-wheelers—really shows that TVS has a balanced and effective strategy. With international markets adding to the domestic demand, the company is on a solid footing.
The coming months, especially with the festive season right around the corner, will be crucial. With new launches waiting in the pipeline, TVS is well-positioned to keep this momentum going.
