Toyota Rumion Gets 6 Airbags as Standard, Now Priced from Rs 10.44 Lakh
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has significantly bolstered the safety credentials of its popular Rumion MPV by making six airbags a standard feature across all variants. The updated Rumion is now priced between Rs 10.44 lakh and Rs 13.62 lakh (ex-showroom). This move positions the rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga as a much safer and more compelling option for families, reinforcing Toyota’s commitment to customer safety in the competitive Indian market.
Engine and Performance
The Toyota Rumion continues to be powered by the reliable 1.5L four-cylinder K15C mild-hybrid petrol engine, which is also found in the Ertiga. This engine produces 103 hp and 136.8 Nm of torque and comes with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The CNG variant is also available, producing 87.8 hp and 121.5 Nm of torque in CNG mode, and is paired only with a 5-speed manual.

Safety and Feature Upgrades
The inclusion of six airbags as a standard feature across the entire lineup is a major safety upgrade.
