Skoda Octavia RS Confirmed for India Launch on October 17!
Skoda Auto India has officially confirmed the highly anticipated return of its performance sedan, the Octavia RS. The new model, based on the facelifted 4th-generation Octavia, will be officially launched on October 17, 2025. Pre-bookings for this sporty sedan will open on October 6 on Skoda’s official online portal. With a limited allocation of just 100 units for the domestic market, the new Octavia RS is set to be an exclusive and thrilling offering for enthusiasts this festive season.
A Powertrain Built for Performance
The new Skoda Octavia RS is a powerhouse, equipped with a 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged petrol engine. This engine, which is the most powerful production Octavia ever, delivers a maximum power of 265 PS and a peak torque of 370 Nm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed DSG (Direct-Shift Gearbox) transmission that sends power to the front wheels. This combination allows the Octavia RS to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds and reach an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
Aggressive Styling and Sporty Interiors
The Octavia RS gets a more aggressive styling package with sporty bumpers, a unique RS badge, and gloss black accents. It also features matrix LED headlights and twin exhaust pipes, which add to its performance-oriented look. Inside, the cabin is designed for a true driving enthusiast. It comes with sport seats, a three-spoke steering wheel with RS branding, aluminum pedals, and carbon-like trims. The sporty and premium interiors complement the car’s powerful performance.
CBU Import & Pricing
The new Octavia RS will be imported from the Czech Republic as a CBU (Completely Built-up Unit), which means it will command a premium price due to import duties and taxes. As per estimates, the Octavia RS could be launched at a starting price of around Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom). The car will be a direct rival to models like the BMW 330i M Sport and the Mercedes-AMG A35.
