Ram 1500 Street Truck Coming Soon To Take On Ford F-150 Lobo

The street truck scene, after a long hiatus, is making a strong comeback, and Ram is set to join the resurgence. While Mopar fans won’t get a factory-built rival to Ford’s F-150 Lobo just yet, Fox Factory is stepping in to fill that void. Ford reignited the segment with its Maverick Lobo in 2024, expanding the concept to its full-size lineup with the F-150 Lobo the following year. This factory-backed effort delivers a performance pickup designed for pavement, featuring a lowered stance, sharp looks, and a powerful 5.0-liter Coyote V8. Now, Mopar enthusiasts are getting their answer in the form of a Ram 1500 street truck, developed not by Ram itself, but by Fox Factory Vehicles.

Not A Factory-Backed Effort, Though It’s a Fox Factory Build

Despite Ram amplifying the teasers on social media, this upcoming Ram 1500 street truck is not a factory-developed product. Instead, it originates from Fox Factory Vehicles, a division of the renowned suspension specialist Fox Factory. Best known for its performance dampers and off-road upgrades, Fox Factory has recently expanded into complete truck builds. Their previous work, like the Black Widow Silverado SR package, showcased their ability to create lowered, performance-oriented trucks with coilovers, sway bars, and performance tires, alongside unique styling.

Teasers for the Ram 1500 street truck reveal a covered vehicle adorned with bold gold striping. A close-up shot of the front highlights gold-accented tow hooks, a chin spoiler with matching highlights, and Toyo Proxes ST III tires. These specific tires are designed for performance truck use, clearly indicating that this is a pavement-focused package, not another lifted off-road special. This build is squarely aimed at filling the market void for a street-performance Ram 1500.

Debut is Happening Tomorrow with Hemi V8 Expectations

The biggest question on everyone’s mind—what powers this street beast—is yet to be officially confirmed by Fox Factory. However, hashtags included in their teaser posts strongly suggest a Hemi V8 engine. This aligns perfectly with the street performance angle the build is pursuing, especially since the Hemi V8 was recently reintroduced to the Ram 1500 lineup. While final output and specifications remain a mystery, the promise of a Hemi V8 under the hood is sure to excite Mopar enthusiasts.

The wait is almost over, as Fox Factory has officially announced that the street-ready Ram 1500 will make its highly anticipated debut on October 6, 2025. This launch is expected to be a significant moment for Mopar fans, offering a compelling vision of how Ram’s popular full-size pickup can be transformed. It redefines the truck’s purpose, shifting its emphasis from trails and towing to aggressive curb appeal and exhilarating street performance, directly challenging the likes of the Ford F-150 Lobo.
