Maruti Suzuki’s SUV Game Plan: Two New Premium Models on the Way
Maruti Suzuki is seriously stepping up its game in the SUV market. After adding the Grand Vitara, Fronx, and Jimny to its lineup, the company is now getting ready to launch two new premium SUVs this year. One of these will be sold through Arena dealerships, and the other, an electric car, will be sold at Nexa outlets. This is a bold move to expand its presence and grab a larger piece of the market.

New Maruti Victoris: A Creta Rival
The first new SUV is the Maruti Victoris, which is set to compete directly with the Hyundai Creta. It is expected to be priced under Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). The Victoris is a bit bigger than the Grand Vitara, but has a more understated design with a smaller grille. It will be sold at Arena dealerships, and you can already book it with a deposit of Rs 10,000.
Inside, the Victoris is a huge step up. It has a modern dashboard with a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen. It also comes loaded with features like ventilated front seats, 6 airbags, Level 2 ADAS, and a 360-degree camera. It will be available with the same mild-hybrid, full-hybrid, and petrol-CNG engines as the Grand Vitara.

The e-Vitara is built to impress, with a muscular exterior and an elegant interior. It features 18-inch alloy wheels, a 10-way power driver’s seat, a 10-speaker Infinity sound system, and seven airbags. It will be offered with a standard-range battery for about 400 km of range, and an extended-range battery that can go for over 500 km on a single charge.
