MAHINDRA IS SKIPPING A GENERATION. THE NEW XUV700 HAS 3 SCREENS INSIDE.

Mahindra XUV700 Facelift is coming, and it’s a direct response to every rival that tried to steal its crown. The biggest surprise? Mahindra is not just matching the competition; they are skipping a generation of technology entirely.

The XUV700, which will likely be renamed XUV 7XO, is expected to launch in early 2026. Here are 5 things revealed by the latest spy shots that will keep it the undisputed technology king.

1. THE COCKPIT REVOLUTION: THE TRIPLE-SCREEN SHOCK

This is the headline upgrade. Mahindra is jumping straight from its successful dual-screen setup to a triple-screen dashboard layout.

This high-tech cluster is borrowed from the new XEV 9e electric SUV and includes:

  • A dedicated digital screen for the driver.
  • A large central touchscreen.
  • A dedicated entertainment screen for the front passenger.

2. THE AUDIO UPGRADE: HARMAN KARDON SOUND

The current XUV700 has a good Sony audio system. The facelift is upgrading to a premium Harman Kardon speaker system. This change, along with Dolby Atmos, promises a much better and more luxurious sound quality.

3. THE NEW NAME: XUV 7XO

Mahindra is making its naming strategy simple. Just like the XUV300 became the XUV 3XO after its update, the XUV700 will likely be called the XUV 7XO. This new badge signals a major upgrade inside the car.

4. THE LUXURY LEAP: POWERED SEATS AND AUTODIMMING MIRROR

The XUV700 missed a few simple luxury features. The facelift will fix that:

  • Rear Comfort: Expect ventilated captain seats (in the 6-seater variant) and sliding middle row seats for better space management.
  • Driver Comfort: The new model is expected to get an auto-dimming IRVM (rear-view mirror) and possibly even massaging front seats.

5. EXTERIOR TWEAKS: SAME POWERFUL HEART

While the cabin is new, the exterior changes are subtle, and the core power remains the same.

  • New Look: Expect a redesigned, more upright front grille and sharper bumpers, along with new 19-inch alloy wheels.
  • Engines Remain: The segment-leading 2.0L Turbo Petrol (200 PS) and 2.2L Diesel (up to 185 PS) engines will be carried over unchanged. This means you get the same performance with a much better cabin.
