Duster and Bigster Get Amazing 4×4 Hybrid Models
Good news for Duster fans! The new-gen Duster and its larger sibling, the Bigster (sold by Renault’s Dacia brand in Europe), have received an exciting upgrade. They are now available with a new 4×4 hybrid bi-fuel setup that uses both LPG and petrol. This new system is built for both great performance and impressive fuel efficiency, giving drivers a lot more options.
A Powerful and Smart Engine
The new “Hybrid-G 150 4×4” system uses a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine along with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This combination provides a total power output of 154 PS. For its 4×4 capability, it uses a rear-mounted electric motor. This smart system can even handle about 60% of city driving on pure electric power, which helps save a lot of fuel.
Incredible Range for Long Trips
One of the biggest benefits of this new car is its incredible driving range. The Duster and Bigster now come with two fuel tanks, a 50-liter petrol tank and a 50-liter LPG tank. With both tanks full, the cars can travel an amazing 1,500 km without needing to refuel. This is a game-changer for anyone who loves long road trips and wants to get rid of range anxiety.
Major Savings and New Features
Using LPG as the main fuel can reduce your running costs by about 30% compared to just using petrol. This means you can save a lot of money. Along with the new engine, Dacia has also updated the cars with new features like refreshed upholstery, a driver’s seat with lumbar support, and new black alloy wheels on some models.
Future Plans
Dacia has big plans for the Duster. The company has announced that all versions of the Duster will be updated by 2026. This includes introducing other new engine options, like a mild-hybrid and a full hybrid, which will replace some of the older engines.
