Maruti Suzuki Festive Season Sales 2025 – Record 4 Lakh Bookings & 2.5 Lakh Units Sold
Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest carmaker, has smashed records this festive season, registering its best-ever performance in the domestic market. The brand received over 4 lakh bookings and retailed more than 2.5 lakh units in just one month, cementing its dominance in the Indian auto industry.
Small Cars Back in the Spotlight

Traditionally, Maruti Suzuki has been known for its affordable small cars. But in recent years, SUVs like the Brezza, Fronx, and Grand Vitara have been driving volumes. Interestingly, this festive season has seen a revival of demand in entry-level hatchbacks.
- The GST cut on small cars earlier this year has slashed prices by up to ₹1.5 lakh, bringing models like the Alto K10, S-Presso, and WagonR back into sharp focus.
- Maruti has already received over 80,000 bookings for its entry-level models, a strong signal that buyers are once again embracing compact, affordable mobility.
- Before the tax reform, small cars accounted for around 16.7% of Maruti’s sales. That share has now climbed to 21.5%, highlighting their renewed importance.
SUV & CNG Portfolio Still Strong
While small cars have gained traction, Maruti Suzuki’s SUV lineup remains a cornerstone of its success. Models like the Brezza, Fronx, and Grand Vitara continued to deliver robust numbers during Navratri and Diwali, appealing to aspirational urban buyers.
At the same time, CNG-powered cars — a Maruti specialty — saw strong booking trends, particularly in models like the WagonR, Ertiga, and Baleno. Rising fuel prices and restrictions on diesel vehicles are pushing customers toward CNG and hybrid options, where Maruti has an edge.
Exports Hit 50% Growth
It wasn’t just domestic sales. Maruti Suzuki also recorded nearly 50% growth in exports during the festive period. The company has been steadily increasing its global footprint, shipping made-in-India cars to more than 100 markets.
