Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Launch has officially been confirmed

The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Launch has officially been confirmed for December 2025, marking the company’s debut in India’s growing electric SUV segment. Announced by MD & CEO Hisashi Takeuchi, the e Vitara will be Maruti’s first fully electric model, designed and built at the brand’s Hansalpur plant in Gujarat — which has already shipped over 7,000 units overseas.

The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Launch will introduce the 61kWh front-wheel-drive variant first, delivering over 500 km of certified range on a single charge. The SUV uses a dual-motor setup internationally, with output figures reaching up to 184 HP, while an AWD version could follow later.
Expected to be priced between ₹20–25 lakh (ex-showroom), the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Launch will position the SUV against rivals like the Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, and Mahindra BE 6.
As Maruti’s first-ever electric SUV, the e Vitara represents a massive step toward the brand’s electrification strategy and could redefine expectations for affordable, long-range EVs in India.
