Maruti Sales Breakup Oct 2025– GST PLAN IS A SUPER HIT!

Maruti Suzuki had a massive October 2025, selling 1,76,318 cars. This was a huge 33% jump from last month (Sept 2025) and a solid 10% jump from last year.
This sales boom happened for two big reasons:
- The festive season (Diwali, etc.).
- The new GST 2.0 tax structure that started on Sept 22, 2025.
This new GST rule was designed to make small and compact cars cheaper. And looking at Maruti’s sales, it is working perfectly. Here is our simple expert analysis of the two big stories from Maruti’s sales.

STORY 1: THE GST 2.0 REFORM IS A MASSIVE SUCCESS
The new tax rules have put new life into Maruti’s most famous cars. The “old guard” is back on top.
- Maruti Dzire: This was the No. 1 best-seller with 20,791 units. Its sales shot up by a massive 64% compared to last year.
- Maruti WagonR: The “tall-boy” is still a king, selling 18,970 units, a huge 36% growth.
- Maruti Baleno: This premium hatch also saw good growth, selling 16,873 units.
Expert Verdict: This is a clear win. The new GST plan is doing exactly what it was supposed to do: make small cars more attractive, and Maruti is the biggest winner.
STORY 2: THE NEW VICTORIS IS A BLOCKBUSTER (THAT’S HURTING THE BREZZA)

The second biggest story is the new Maruti Victoris. This SUV is a blockbuster hit.
- It sold a massive 13,496 units.
- Bookings have already crossed 25,000 units.
- The waiting period is already 2-3 months long.
But here is the “friendly fire” problem. Where did those 13,496 sales come from? It looks like they were stolen from its own teammates.
- Maruti Brezza: Sales crashed by 27% compared to last year.
- Maruti Grand Vitara: Sales fell by 26% compared to last year.
Expert Verdict: The Victoris is a super hit. But because it’s sold from the same Arena showrooms, it looks like customers are walking in to buy a Brezza and walking out with the newer, more exciting Victoris. This is a “good problem” for Maruti to have, but it shows the Brezza is in trouble.

THE LOSERS: SWIFT, JIMNY, AND CIAZ

- Maruti Swift: The new generation is not doing as well as the old one. Sales dropped by 11%.
- Maruti Jimny: The hype is officially over. Sales are down 51% from last year, with only 592 units sold.
- Maruti Ciaz: The biggest shock. Maruti sold ZERO units of the Ciaz sedan.
MARUTI SALES BREAKUP (OCTOBER 2025)

FINAL CONCLUSION
The Maruti Sales Breakup Oct 2025 report shows two things. First, the new GST 2.0 plan is a huge success, and the small car is back. Second, the new Victoris is a smash hit, but it is badly hurting the Brezza and Grand Vitara.
Maruti is winning, but it’s also competing with itself.
