Kia Vision Meta Turismo concept Revealed: The Electric Stinger Successor?

Following a surprise teaser earlier this week, Kia has revealed its new sedan concept, dubbed the Vision Meta Turismo, as part of its 80th anniversary celebrations. The Kia Vision Meta Turismo concept looks to be the brand’s way of saying “Sorry” for killing the Stinger sports sedan, with proportions that strongly recall the departed GT.

This concept is a significant design study, meant to preview Kia’s future direction in the electric era, blending high-performance driving with lounge-like comfort and cutting-edge digital immersion. The unveiling showcases what a high-performance grand tourer could look like, potentially foreshadowing the brand’s rumored GT1 project.

Here is a closer look at the forward-thinking cabin and the performance potential.

Forward-Thinking Cabin Shows A Focus On Tech

The interior of the Kia Vision Meta Turismo concept is radically minimalist, dominated by digital interaction and geometric shapes.

DesignAsymmetric SeatingThe driver’s seat is focused and colored yellow, while the front passenger seat is designed more like a lounge chair.

The dash is largely devoid of screens or physical switches, suggesting that voice assistant technology and the intuitive control hub are the primary means of operating the vehicle.

Performance Potential and the GT1 Rumors

While Kia has not disclosed the concept’s powertrain, its low-slung, athletic proportions and short front end strongly hint at an electric grand tourer designed for serious speed.

Reports out of South Korea regarding the long-rumored Kia GT1 project suggest the possibility of a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive flagship that would match the design ambition of the Vision Meta Turismo:

  • Max Power: Targeting over 600 horsepower (450 kW).
  • Range: Expected to use a massive 113.2 kWh battery pack, enabling an estimated 435–497 miles of range (700–800 km WLTP).
  • Acceleration: 0-60 mph expected to be in the low 3-second range.

The Kia Vision Meta Turismo concept is positioned as a design bridge, linking the brand’s performance past (the Stinger) to its future digital mobility, and giving fans strong hope that the successor will be built on the new “eM” platform with competitive, flagship-level specs.
