Big News: Kia Certified Pre-Owned Warranty Now 2 Years!
Buying a used car always comes with a little risk, but Kia India just made a big move to give buyers more peace of mind. The company has announced two major upgrades for its Kia Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program. “CPO” just means it’s a used car that Kia has officially checked and approved.
The biggest news is the new warranty. Used Kia pre-owned vehicles will now be offered with a warranty of up to 2 years or 40,000 km. This is a huge show of confidence from Kia.
Why This Matters
This move is a direct challenge to all other car brands. By offering a 2-year warranty, Kia is basically saying they believe their cars are built to last. This gives customers a level of safety and trust that is usually only reserved for new cars.
It’s also a smart way to compete. Interestingly, if you buy a used car of another brand from a Kia CPO outlet, it only comes with a warranty of up to 1 year or 15,000 km. This clearly positions used Kia cars as a safer and better-value purchase.

What Else is New?
Besides the new warranty, Kia has also extended the certification age limit for its own cars. They will now certify Kia models that are up to 7 years old, up from the old limit of 5 years.
To make sure the quality is high, every single pre-owned car sold under the CPO program must pass a detailed 175-point inspection. Only the cars that meet Kia’s high standards are certified and sold.
This is a strong move by Kia to build trust and make their CPO program one of the best in India.
