Jaguar 4-Door Electric GT Global Debut Delayed To 2026 – Here’s Why

The highly anticipated Jaguar 4-door electric GT has had its global debut postponed to 2026, as confirmed by recent reports. Initially slated for a late-2025 reveal, the delay is reportedly linked to a major cyberattack that disrupted Jaguar Land Rover’s production and IT systems earlier this year.

The cyberattack, which impacted JLR’s Solihull, Halewood, and Wolverhampton facilities, led to widespread operational shutdowns, preventing the brand from processing orders. Industry analysts estimate the damage to the UK’s economy at nearly Rs 22,000 crore (£1.9 billion).
The Jaguar 4-door electric GT is a crucial project for the brand’s revival, representing Jaguar’s transition into a fully electric future. Expected to debut first in North America before reaching Europe and other markets, it will compete with the Audi e-tron GT and Porsche Taycan.
With no active models currently in production, Jaguar’s future depends heavily on the commercial success of this electric flagship — making its 2026 debut one of the most important launches in the brand’s modern history.
