Indiana Jones’s Motorcycle Fetches a Hefty Price at Auction
While Indiana Jones is most often associated with his whip and fedora, a different iconic prop has proven its legendary status: his motorcycle. The bike, which was driven by Harrison Ford and featured in a thrilling chase scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, recently sold at auction for a surprising amount, far exceeding its initial value.

It was put up for auction at Propstore’s Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction in Los Angeles. The lot was described as a “photo-matched and instantly recognizable vehicle,” despite being nonfunctional and having visible signs of age.

The motorcycle wasn’t the only prop from the franchise to sell for more than its estimate. Sean Connery’s bloodied three-piece suit from the Grail Temple finale also sold for a whopping £50,000 (~$67,000), which was more than double its initial estimate.

An Icon of Filmmaking
The motorcycle scene from the 1989 classic remains a fan favorite, showcasing the hands-on filmmaking style that defined the golden age of adventure movies. In the scene, Indy and his father speed away from Nazi pursuers, with one memorable moment showing Indy using a flagpole to take down an enemy motorcycle.
The sale of this motorcycle highlights the lasting legacy and value of the Indiana Jones franchise, proving that even the vehicles are considered priceless relics by dedicated fans. (via Daily Records)
