Maruti Suzuki recorded its best performance of FY26, selling 2,38,515 units in October 2025, a 17.4% increase compared to October 2024. Popular models such as the Baleno, Fronx, and Brezza continued their strong run, helping Maruti post its highest-ever export tally of over 1.10 lakh units in Q2 FY26.

Tata Motors Strengthens Second Spot

According to the Indian Car Brands Sales Report October 2025, Tata Motors retained the second position with 73,877 units sold, reflecting a 12.22% YoY growth. The Nexon and Punch remained volume drivers, while Tiago EV and Punch EV boosted the brand’s electric portfolio. Tata also achieved a festive milestone — dispatching over 1 lakh vehicles in a single month, marking 33% growth during the Navratri–Diwali period.

Mahindra, Hyundai, and Toyota Complete the Top 5

Mahindra ranked third with 66,467 units, a 6.21% YoY rise, powered by its strong SUV lineup — Scorpio, Bolero, Thar, and XUV700.
Hyundai slipped to fourth with 65,045 units, down 7.3%, while Toyota secured fifth place, recording 33,503 units, a 14% growth, thanks to demand for the Innova Hycross and Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
