Hyundai Sales Sep 2025: Creta Leads Record SUV Performance

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) reported total sales of 70,347 units in September 2025, showing a 10% growth YoY compared to September 2024. The strong performance was fueled by festive season demand, GST 2.0 reforms, and record-breaking SUV sales.

Hyundai Creta Hits Highest-Ever Sales

The Hyundai Creta emerged as the star performer, clocking its highest-ever monthly sales of 18,861 units, making it India’s top-selling SUV. The Hyundai Venue also recorded its best month in 20 months with 11,484 units sold.

Domestic and Export Sales Boost Growth

In September 2025, domestic sales stood at 51,547 units, a slight 1% growth YoY but a strong 17% rise MoM. Exports surged to 18,800 units, a massive 44% jump YoY, making it the highest monthly export volume in 33 months.

SUVs Dominate Hyundai Sales Sep 2025

SUVs contributed 72.4% of Hyundai’s domestic sales (37,313 units) – the highest in the company’s history. This reflects India’s growing preference for SUVs as the segment continues to lead Hyundai’s growth story.

Quarterly Sales Snapshot

For Q2 FY26 (Jul–Sep 2025), Hyundai recorded 1,90,921 units, nearly flat compared to 1,91,939 units in Q2 FY25. While domestic sales dipped, exports grew over 21% YoY, reinforcing Hyundai India’s role as a global manufacturing hub.
