Hyundai 26 New Launches India FY2030 – Hybrids, EVs & More
Hyundai Motor India has revealed an ambitious roadmap for its next phase of growth, confirming a massive 26 new product launches between FY2025 and FY2030. The plan, shared at the company’s first Investor Day, highlights a strong focus on hybrids, EVs, and updated ICE models as Hyundai looks to expand its market share in the country.
Hyundai’s Hybrid Strategy – 8 Models Confirmed
At the heart of this roadmap is a major hybrid push. Hyundai will introduce eight new hybrid cars by FY2030, making hybrids the bridge between ICE and full electrification. Likely candidates for hybridisation include the Venue, Creta, and Tucson, which already have hybrid versions in global markets.
Currently, Hyundai’s sales in India are dominated by ICE powertrains (76% share in FY2025), while CNG accounts for 19% and eco-friendly options just 5%. By FY2030, however, eco-friendly powertrains are expected to jump to 47%, nearly equal to ICE sales.
32 Models by FY2030
Hyundai plans to expand its Indian portfolio to 32 models by FY2030, broken down as:
This balanced mix shows Hyundai’s commitment to giving Indian buyers multiple fuel choices during the transition decade.
Timeline of 26 Launches
Hyundai’s rollout plan details how these 26 new launches will unfold:
- FY2026 → 4 launches (1 full model change, 1 derivative, 2 facelifts)
- FY2027–FY2028 → 8 launches (2 new nameplates, 3 full model changes, 2 derivatives, 1 facelift)
- FY2029–FY2030 → 14 launches (5 new nameplates, 2 full model changes, 3 derivatives, 4 facelifts)
This means Hyundai’s biggest expansion phase will come towards the end of the decade, aligning with its aggressive hybrid and EV roadmap.
Why It Matters
Hyundai, currently India’s second-largest carmaker, is clearly preparing for the next automotive transition. With a combination of affordable compact hybrids, premium EVs, and strong ICE updates, Hyundai wants to appeal to every segment of Indian buyers — from budget-conscious first-time buyers to luxury SUV customers.
By FY2030, the Indian auto market will look very different, and Hyundai wants to be at the center of that transformation.
