Honda’s First Electric Motorcycle is Here!- The Honda WN7

Honda has officially made its big leap into the electric motorcycle world with the global debut of its very first electric naked bike, the Honda WN7. This is a huge step for the company’s long-term plan to make all its motorcycles carbon-neutral by the 2040s, showing a clear commitment to a greener future.

Meet the Honda WN7

The WN7 is Honda’s first electric bike designed for the “Fun” category with a fixed battery. It’s the production version of the EV Fun Concept that was showcased earlier. This bike is built for riders who want both thrilling performance and a sustainable way to get around, bringing together all of Honda’s 75 years of experience in a new electric form.

Power, Range, and Charging

The WN7 promises a great riding range of over 130 kilometers (about 83 miles) on a single charge. Its fixed lithium-ion battery supports CCS2 rapid charging, so you can go from 20 percent to 80 percent charged in just 30 minutes. If you’re charging at home, a full charge takes less than three hours.

A Quiet Thrill

Honda says the WN7’s performance is impressive. Its power output is similar to a 600cc internal combustion engine (ICE) motorcycle, and its torque rivals a 1000cc ICE bike, which means you get powerful acceleration. But unlike a gas bike, the WN7 offers a quiet and smooth ride, which is a unique and exciting part of the electric experience.

Sleek Design and Smart Tech

The WN7 features a slim, modern design that truly highlights its electric identity. Riders will get to use a 5-inch TFT screen with Honda RoadSync connectivity, which makes it easy to use navigation, answer calls, and see notifications. The name WN7 stands for “Be the Wind” (W), “Naked” (N), and its output class (7), reflecting its core philosophy.
