Honda India Major Comeback: 10 New Cars by 2030, 7 of Them SUVs

Honda is making a major comeback in India with plans to launch 10 new cars by 2030, including 7 all-new SUVs. The Japanese carmaker aims to reclaim its market share with a mix of hybrid and electric models designed specifically for Indian buyers.

The highlight of this comeback is the Honda 0 Alpha Electric SUV, which was showcased at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. The production model will be manufactured in India at Honda’s Tapukara plant in Rajasthan and exported to other Asian markets.

Honda’s new strategy signals a strong shift toward SUVs and EVs, targeting rivals like Hyundai, Tata, Maruti, Mahindra, and Kia. The company has also confirmed that India is now among its top three global markets, along with the US and Japan.

With 10 new models coming by 2030, starting from 2026, Honda is betting big on hybrid, electric, and global SUV platforms to power its next phase of growth in India.
