Hero Sales October 2025: Dispatches Drop 6.4%, Scooters and Exports Lead Growth

Hero MotoCorp recorded total wholesale dispatches of 6,35,808 units in October 2025, reflecting a 6.4% year-on-year decline compared to 6,79,091 units in October 2024. The company faced lower motorcycle demand but achieved strong growth in scooter and export segments, indicating a gradual diversification in sales mix.
Hero Sales October 2025 Overview

Domestic Sales Performance

Hero’s domestic volumes stood at 6,04,829 units, marking an 8% decline YoY. Motorcycles continued to dominate with nearly 90% share, though volumes fell 10.2% YoY to 5,70,753 units. The slowdown was attributed to moderate rural demand and delayed festive purchases.
Scooter sales, on the other hand, saw a significant 50.2% increase, reaching 65,055 units — driven by strong demand for models like the Destini 125 Xtec, Maestro Edge, and Pleasure+. Scooters now contribute over 10% of Hero’s domestic mix, indicating growing urban adoption.
Exports: The Bright Spot
Exports remained a strong growth driver for Hero MotoCorp. Shipments rose 42.8% YoY to 30,979 units, up from 21,688 units in October 2024. Improved market performance in Latin America and Africa contributed to this surge, along with new distribution tie-ups and currency stabilization.
FY26 Year-to-Date (April–October 2025)

Hero MotoCorp’s YTD sales reached 36.93 lakh units, down slightly by 1.1% compared to last year. However, exports rose 52.3%, while scooter volumes climbed 33%, softening the overall decline in motorcycles.
VIDA EV: Momentum Continues
Hero’s EV brand VIDA continues to see strong traction. It recorded around 16,000 Vahan registrations in October 2025, marking a 24% month-on-month and 117% year-on-year growth. The VIDA V1 Pro and V1 Plus scooters remained the key contributors, supported by expanding dealership networks and improved charging access.
International Expansion
Hero MotoCorp further strengthened its global presence by expanding into Italy, Spain, the UK, and France with Euro5+ compliant motorcycles, including the Xpulse 200 and Hunk 440. This move aligns with Hero’s strategy to grow in the mid-size motorcycle segment and tap new premium markets.
