BMW Launches the New S 1000 R: A Hyper-Naked Roadster for India
BMW Motorrad India has launched the new BMW S 1000 R, the latest version of its popular hyper-naked roadster. This new motorcycle, imported as a CBU (Completely Built-up Unit), is priced from Rs 19.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and is now available for bookings. The new S 1000 R brings a combination of more power, a redesigned look, and updated features, making it a thrilling machine for enthusiasts who want a blend of track performance and everyday usability.
BMW S 1000 R-Aggressive Design and Advanced Tech
The new S 1000 R features a bold, redesigned styling with a unique Splitface LED headlamp and compact roadster proportions. The bike also comes with a 6.5-inch TFT instrument cluster that allows for arrow-based navigation through the BMW Motorrad Connectivity App. This combination of aggressive aesthetics and advanced technology ensures that the bike is as exciting to look at as it is to ride.
A Powerful Superbike Engine
At the heart of the new S 1000 R is a powerful 999 cc, inline four-cylinder engine that produces 170 hp and 114 Nm of torque. This is a 5 hp increase from the previous model. The bike is incredibly fast, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

The new S 1000 R comes with a host of standard equipment, including three riding modes (Rain, Road, Dynamic), Hill Start Control, ABS Pro, and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC). Customers can also choose from optional packages like the Dynamic, Comfort, or M Sport to further enhance the motorcycle with features such as cruise control, heated grips, and lightweight M components.
