How the New GST 2.0 Reforms Work
The price cuts are a direct result of the government’s new tax policy, which aims to make two-wheelers more affordable. Under the new rules, two-wheelers with engines below 350cc are now taxed at 18%, a significant reduction from the previous 28%. This is why the G310RR and the C400 GT (which has a 350cc engine) are getting cheaper. However, bikes above 350cc, like the Royal Enfield 650 Twins, will face a higher 40% GST, which will cause their prices to increase.
BMW’s Festive Season Push
The timing of these new prices is crucial, as they coincide with the festive season. BMW Motorrad is also offering festive deals and financial solutions through BMW Smart Finance to make ownership even easier. Customers can take advantage of flexible EMI plans and attractive interest rates to bring home their dream bike or scooter. These moves are expected to boost demand and strengthen BMW’s position in the premium two-wheeler market.
