AUDI E7X China SUV Debuts With 671 HP Dual-Motor and 800V Architecture
Audi’s newest sub-brand in China, AUDI (styled in all caps), has officially revealed its biggest SUV yet, the E7X, ahead of its debut at the 2026 Beijing International Auto Show. The AUDI E7X China SUV is the second model from the China-exclusive sub-brand and is aimed squarely at the high-tech, full-size EV market.
Developed through a joint venture between Audi AG and Chinese automaker SAIC, the E7X promises power comparable to a Rivian R1S and advanced features tailored specifically for tech-savvy Chinese consumers.

Here is a closer look at the unique platform and the immense power figures.
Performance and Platform
The E7X does not use the global PPE platform but instead rides on the Advanced Digitized Platform (ADP), co-developed with SAIC. This platform adheres to the latest standards, ensuring high-speed charging capability.

Dimensions and Design Focus
The AUDI E7X China SUV slots firmly into full-size territory, signaling Audi’s intent to compete directly with large domestic and international EV rivals in the region.
- Dimensions: It measures 5,049 mm (198.8 inches) long, with a substantial 3,060 mm (120.5 inches) wheelbase. This makes its wheelbase 66 mm longer than the global Audi Q7, ensuring maximum interior roominess.
- Seating: The large footprint allows for a spacious interior, with at least one variant confirmed to be a premium four-seat configuration, focusing on rear cabin luxury.
- Tech & Style: The styling differs from global Audi models, featuring a continuous rectangular rear lighting treatment and vertical digital Matrix LED headlights. Crucially, the iconic Four Rings are replaced by the AUDI wordmark at the front and rear, and a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor suggests a high level of advanced driver assistance capability.
The E7X is part of a growing strategy by foreign automakers to create localized EV sub-brands in China, combining German engineering heritage with the fast-moving digital innovation of the local ecosystem.
