This Four-Door 1969 Ford Bronco Restomod Is a Family Off-Roader Done Right
This 1969 Ford Bronco Restomod proves that not every classic build needs to shout. Classic Ford Bronco Restomod builds are everywhere, often focusing on extreme performance or flashy paint. This one, however, stands apart with its clean execution, modern usability, and room for six. Built over three years by Dean Glover of Glover’s Welding, this 1969 Ford Bronco Restomod four-door conversion was completed in 2023 and is now available for auction.
A Bronco Reimagined for the Family
This build is a hand-built, family-sized Bronco done right, blending classic looks with modern comfort and technology.
- Custom Bodywork: The frame and body were lengthened to accommodate the four-door layout. Rear doors were shortened, and custom filler panels were fabricated to keep the proportions in check.
- Durable Finish: The exterior is finished in a metallic pearl white with black accents, while the entire underside and interior surfaces are coated with a durable Raptor Liner.
- Modern Interior: The cabin is focused on comfort, not just nostalgia. It features three rows of Toms Offroad seats trimmed in tan “deerskin” leatherette, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, Dakota Digital gauges, and a touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Coyote Power for the Modern Trail
Under the hood, this 1969 Ford Bronco Restomod swaps 1960s simplicity for modern reliability and power.
- Engine: A 5.0-liter Gen 2 Coyote V8 sourced from a low-mileage F-150.
- Transmission: A modern 6R80 six-speed automatic transmission.
- Drivetrain: Power is sent to all four wheels through a rebuilt twin-stick transfer case and a Tom Wood’s rear driveshaft.
- Chassis: The build includes a Toms Offroad lift kit, power steering, and four-wheel disc brakes for modern handling and stopping power.
