5+ New Midsize SUVs Launching in India Within the Next 6 Months

The Indian SUV market is heating up fast! Over the next few months, several new midsize SUVs launching in India will redefine the competition — from powerful ICE models to cutting-edge EVs. Brands like Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Tata, Mahindra, Renault, and Nissan are all set to make big moves.

1 & 2. Maruti Suzuki eVitara & Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV

Maruti’s first all-electric SUV, the eVitara, will arrive soon with two battery pack options and an impressive 500+ km range. Its Toyota sibling, the Urban Cruiser BEV, will debut shortly after.

3. Mahindra XUV700 Facelift

The updated Mahindra XUV700 facelift is expected in early 2026, bringing triple screens, refreshed interiors, and familiar 2.0L turbo-petrol and 2.2L diesel engines.

4. All-New Renault Duster

The new-gen Renault Duster debuts on January 26, 2026. Built on the CMF-B platform, it will feature modern safety tech and two turbo-petrol engines — with a hybrid likely later.

5. Nissan Tekton

Sharing its platform with the Duster, the Nissan Tekton draws design inspiration from the global Patrol SUV and will launch in the first half of 2026.

6 & 7. Tata Sierra ICE & EV

The Tata Sierra returns on November 25, 2025, in both ICE and electric forms. Expect 1.5L petrol and diesel engines, while the Sierra EV will share tech with the Harrier EV and offer dual battery packs.

8. Mahindra XEV 7e

Based on the XUV.e8 concept, this three-row electric SUV will deliver over 500 km range and advanced connected features when it launches in 2026.
