Mahindra Sales September 2025 Breakup – Scorpio, Thar Shine, Bolero Slips
Mahindra has posted strong sales numbers in September 2025 as well as in the third quarter of the year, driven mainly by its SUV portfolio. The company reported a 6.28% YoY growth in Q3 2025, selling 1,44,503 units compared to 1,35,962 units in Q3 2024.
Q3 2025 – Thar & Scorpio Drive Growth
The Scorpio/N remained Mahindra’s top performer, selling 41,959 units in Q3 2025, up 3.7% YoY. Close behind was the Thar/ROXX, which recorded a massive 63.9% YoY jump with 28,688 units. Together, these two SUVs contributed nearly half of Mahindra’s quarterly volumes.
On the other hand, the XUV700 (21,774 units, -17.6%) and XUV3XO (21,791 units, -22.1%) registered declines due to increased competition and production constraints. Legacy model Bolero also slipped by nearly 15% YoY to 18,369 units.
Mahindra’s EV lineup showed promise – the XEV 9e added 7,394 units in Q3 while the BE 6 contributed 4,798 units. Even the Marazzo, though a low-volume product, grew 676% from its small base.
September 2025 – Strong MoM & YoY Growth
In September 2025 alone, Mahindra sold 56,233 units, a 10.1% YoY increase over 51,062 units in September 2024. On a MoM basis, sales surged by 42.7% compared to August 2025.
The Scorpio/N topped the charts with 18,372 units, growing 27% YoY and 87% MoM. The Thar/ROXX also showed robust demand with 11,846 units (+34% YoY, +69% MoM).
Segment Insights
- Scorpio/N & Thar/ROXX remain the backbone of Mahindra’s sales, together accounting for over 50% of volumes.
- XUV700 posted modest YoY growth but surged on MoM thanks to high demand ahead of its facelift.
- XUV3XO maintained steady volumes, slightly up MoM.
- Bolero continues to decline sharply but the upcoming Bolero Neo facelift could revive sales.
- EV lineup – XEV 9e and BE 6 EV are emerging as strong contributors, together adding over 4,000 units in September.
- XUV400 EV declined heavily YoY but doubled MoM on improved availability.
- Marazzo remains negligible in volumes.
Outlook
Mahindra has ended September 2025 on a strong note with both YoY and MoM growth, led by its SUV heavyweights. With festive season demand, new facelifts, and an expanding EV portfolio, Mahindra looks well positioned to sustain momentum in Q4 2025.
