Lamborghini Unveils “Manifesto Concept” at Centro Stile’s 20th Anniversary

Lamborghini pulled off a dramatic surprise at the recent celebration of 20 years of its Centro Stile design center, revealing a striking new styling study dubbed the “Manifesto Concept.” Described as a low, wide, screaming yellow surprise, the concept stood out amongst the iconic Lamborghinis of the last two decades, offering a tantalizing glimpse into the brand’s potential future design language.

A Visionary Sculpture: The Manifesto Concept

The “Lamborghini Manifesto Concept” is, for now, a pure design buck – a visionary sculpture focused solely on aesthetics.

  • Exterior: The concept showcases a radical, sleek shape, characterized by its low and wide stance, with sharp, aggressive lines. The vibrant yellow color amplifies its dramatic presence.
  • Minimalist Design: In keeping with its status as a styling study, the Manifesto Concept features no traditional door handles, no windows (all glass is blacked out), and no visible interior. This extreme minimalism emphasizes its sculptural form.
  • Future Design DNA: As revealed by Mitja Borkert, Director of Lamborghini Centro Stile since 2016, the Manifesto is designed to “showcase the potential future of our unique Design DNA.” This implies that while not a direct preview of a production model, its elements could inspire future Lamborghini vehicles.

Celebrating 20 Years of Centro Stile Lamborghini

The unveiling was a highlight of the weekend-long celebration marking over two decades of the Centro Stile Lamborghini’s existence. Borkert expressed immense pride in the center’s accomplishments and its continued role in shaping the iconic brand’s design trajectory.

The Centro Stile has been instrumental in crafting the distinctive and instantly recognizable aesthetics of Lamborghini models over the past 20 years, from the Murciélago and Gallardo to the modern-day Huracán and Revuelto. The Manifesto Concept serves as both a celebration of this rich design heritage and a bold statement about where the brand is headed.

No Production Plans (Yet), But a Bright Future Ahead

Currently, there are no confirmed plans for the Manifesto Concept to enter production. Its design, devoid of functional elements like doors and windows, confirms its primary role as a pure styling exercise. However, the overwhelmingly positive reception suggests that elements of its aggressive, futuristic, and uniquely Lamborghini aesthetic would be highly welcomed in future models.

The concept underscores Lamborghini’s continuous commitment to pushing design boundaries and maintaining its distinct visual identity in the evolving automotive landscape. If this is a preview of the “potential future” for the Raging Bull, then the future looks very bright and undeniably exciting for Lamborghini enthusiasts worldwide.
