Triumph Speed 400, Speed T4 Prices Slashed – Now Cheaper Than Launch Price

In a bold festive move, Triumph Speed 400, Speed T4 prices slashed across India, making these motorcycles more affordable than ever. Despite the GST rate hike on bikes above 350cc (from 28% to 40%), Triumph and Bajaj Auto have absorbed the increased tax burden and announced a price cut. This means customers are paying less today than they did at the bikes’ launch in 2024, a rare occurrence in the Indian two-wheeler industry.

This pricing strategy not only counters the GST hike but also gives buyers an effective benefit of nearly ₹25,000 compared to what they might have paid otherwise.

Absorbing the GST Hike

The GST increase was expected to push motorcycle prices higher, especially in the premium 350cc+ category. Instead, Triumph chose a customer-first approach by absorbing costs internally and still reducing prices. For the Speed 400, the adjusted price without discounts would have been close to ₹2.55–₹2.60 lakh. The new pricing makes both models cheaper than last year’s launch — a rarity in today’s auto industry.

Speed Range Momentum in India

The Speed lineup, including the Speed 400 and Speed T4, has become a key pillar for Triumph’s India growth. Monthly volumes have nearly doubled since FY23–24, showing strong customer demand for motorcycles that blend performance, accessibility, and modern design. By keeping prices competitive, Triumph is ensuring the Speed range remains an aspirational yet accessible option for Indian riders.

Festive Season Boost

With Triumph Speed 400, Speed T4 prices slashed, the timing aligns perfectly with India’s festive season demand surge. Bajaj and Triumph aim to capture more market share in the mid-size motorcycle category, where the Speed range has already proven itself as a leader. This festive price cut strengthens customer sentiment and reaffirms the brand’s commitment to delivering unmatched value in the Indian market.
