2026 Lexus LX Flagship SUV: Subtle Updates, Higher Prices, and Sharper F Sport Look

Lexus has announced quiet updates for its flagship LX SUV for the 2026 model year, including a slight MSRP bump and the debut of an exclusive F SPORT Appearance Package. Positioned as the ultimate luxury SUV and sharing its robust underpinnings with the global Land Cruiser 300, the LX continues to blend off-road pedigree with premium comfort and detailing. The core formula remains unchanged, but these subtle revisions broaden its appeal and reinforce its status.

Pricing and New Equipment

All grades of the 2026 Lexus LX will see a slight price increase, mostly around $500, reflecting a modest 0.4–0.5 percent rise.

  • The lineup starts with the LX 600 Premium at $107,950 (including destination).
  • The LX 700h Overtrail sees a slightly larger increase of $735, starting at $116,685.
  • The range tops out with the LX 700h Ultra Luxury at $142,450.

New for this year is the F Sport Appearance Package, exclusively available on the LX 700h F Sport Handling grade. This package adds color-keyed bumper accents, black mirror caps, black rear spoiler winglets, and matching running boards, giving it a more aggressive and tailored look. The rugged Overtrail grade (available only on the hybrid 700h and in two- or three-row layouts) gains a fresh Manganese Luster paint option, retaining its impressive off-road hardware like 33-inch all-terrain tires and front and rear locking differentials.

Powertrains and Enhanced Safety

The 2026 LX continues to offer two robust powertrain options:

  • LX 600: Features a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 engine producing 409 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
  • LX 700h Hybrid: Combines the same V6 engine with a nickel-metal hydride battery and electric assistance, yielding a total of 457 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque. This hybrid achieves an EPA-estimated 20 mpg combined.

Both powertrains boast an 8,000-pound towing capacity and send power through a standard Torsen limited-slip center differential for consistent traction on and off-road. All 2026 models now include Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which brings advanced driver-assist features like enhanced Pre-Collision detection and Curve Speed Management for adaptive cruise control.

Built on a Global Platform

The LX is built on Toyota’s GA-F body-on-frame architecture, the same robust underpinnings used globally for the Land Cruiser 300. Production remains in Japan, ensuring the blend of luxury and capability that Lexus is known for before export to North America.
