Honda CB300R and CB300F Get Price Cuts Post-GST: Now More Accessible!
Honda has announced a major relief for premium motorcycle buyers by fully passing on the benefits of the GST 2.0 reforms to its customers. The brand’s popular 300cc motorcycles, the CB300R and CB300F, have both received significant price revisions, making them much more competitive in the market. This move aligns with the government’s decision to lower the tax on two-wheelers under 350cc from 28% to 18%, providing substantial savings to consumers.
CB300R: Sharp Price Reduction of ₹21,000
The stylish Honda CB300R is now available at a starting price of ₹2.19 lakh (ex-showroom). This reflects a substantial price cut of ₹21,000 from its earlier price of ₹2.40 lakh. At this new price, the CB300R is highly competitive, even undercutting rivals like the TVS Apache RTR 310 (₹2.21 lakh) and the Triumph Speed 400 (₹2.51 lakh). The price drop makes the lightweight, neo-retro roadster a more value-packed option than ever before.

CB300F: The Most Affordable in its Class
The Honda CB300F has also seen a significant reduction, dropping its price by ₹15,000 to an entry point of just ₹1.55 lakh (ex-showroom). This reduction makes the CB300F the most affordable motorcycle in the 300cc class, undercutting rivals like the Bajaj Dominar 250 and Hero Xtreme 250R. The CB300F is a versatile streetfighter powered by a 293cc air/oil-cooled engine that produces 24 hp and 25.6 Nm of torque.
The CB300F is also offered in a flex-fuel compatible variant at the same price, capable of running on E85 fuel (15% petrol and 85% ethanol blend). This future-ready feature, combined with the new low price, enhances the bike’s value proposition.

Strategic Pricing and Market Impact
These targeted price cuts demonstrate Honda’s commitment to strengthening its position in the competitive sub-400cc market. By reducing the price of the CB300R, the gap with the KTM 250 Duke (Rs 2.12 lakh) is now minimal, while the CB300F is perfectly positioned as a strong value-for-money option. The price revisions, which follow a move to increase localization in 2023, ensure that both bikes are now the most accessible they have ever been.
