3. Maruti Grand Vitara
Maruti Grand Vitara, Maruti’s flagship SUV, also benefits from GST 2.0. Its standard petrol trims were taxed at 45%, and the strong hybrid grades at 43%. Now, the entire lineup, regardless of powertrain, falls under the 40% tax slab. This brings its price down by up to Rs 68,000, with the top-end Alpha (O) 4WD trim seeing the biggest reduction. Previously taxed between 43-45%, the Hyryder will now attract a 40% GST from September 22. This means its new price range will be Rs 10.95-19.57 lakh (ex-showroom), offering great value, especially on the V 4WD grade.
5. Skoda Kushaq
The Skoda Kushaq, known for its robust build and performance, has also become cheaper by up to Rs 66,000. Its 1.0L and 1.5L petrol engines were previously taxed at 45% but are now in the 40% GST slab. Starting September 22, the Kushaq will be available from Rs 10.61-18.43 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a more competitive choice in the midsize SUV segment.
