Royal Enfield Slashes Prices by Up to Rs 22,000 After GST Cut

Royal Enfield has confirmed that it will pass on the full benefit of the new GST 2.0 reforms to its customers. The new prices, which will take effect from September 22, 2025, will make the brand’s entire 350cc lineup more accessible than ever. This move comes as the GST rate on motorcycles under 350cc has been reduced from 28% to 18%, a change that will benefit nearly 98% of the Indian two-wheeler market.

Significant Savings on the 350cc Lineup

The price drops are substantial and cover the backbone of the Royal Enfield brand. Customers can expect to see price reductions of up to Rs 22,000 on models like the Classic 350, Bullet 350, Hunter 350, and Meteor 350. These savings, which are detailed in the table below, make the dream of owning a Royal Enfield closer than ever before, especially for first-time buyers. The company is also passing on the benefits to its services, apparel, and accessories, which will also become more affordable.

Here is a summary of the expected price drops:

A Timely Boost for the Market

B Govindarajan, Managing Director and CEO of Royal Enfield, said that the government’s reform will not only make motorcycles under 350cc more accessible but also “excite first-time buyers”. The timing of this move is crucial, as it comes just before the festive season. Royal Enfield dealerships are expected to see increased footfall as customers line up to take advantage of the new benefits and become part of the brand’s loyal community of riders.

A Different Story for Larger Bikes

While bikes under 350cc are getting cheaper, the new GST reform has a different impact on motorcycles with engines above 350cc. These bikes, including Royal Enfield’s 650 Twins, Himalayan 450, and models from other brands like KTM and Triumph, will now face a higher 40% GST. This will likely lead to a significant price hike for these larger, premium motorcycles.
