Honda Cars India Cuts Prices By Up to Rs 95,500 After GST Reform
Honda Cars India has announced that it will pass on the full benefits of the recent GST Reforms 2025 to its customers. The new prices will take effect from September 22, 2025, which is perfectly timed to coincide with the start of the festive season. This proactive move is expected to make Honda’s popular lineup, including the Amaze, Elevate, and City, more accessible and affordable for buyers across the country.
Significant Price Drops on Popular Models
Customers can expect to see price reductions of up to Rs 95,500 across the lineup, with the biggest savings on the third-generation Amaze. This tax rationalization is a big relief, and Honda has confirmed that it will pass on the entire benefit. The price cuts vary by model, with the Elevate and City also seeing substantial reductions.

How the New GST Reform Works
Under the new GST 2.0 rules, the tax on smaller passenger cars like the Honda Amaze (which are under 4 meters in length) has been reduced from 29% to 18%. For larger vehicles like the Elevate and City, the tax has been simplified to a flat 40%, which is a decrease from the previous 45% (including cess). It’s important to note that Honda has not announced a specific price cut for the City e:HEV hybrid variant, as hybrid cars are now taxed the same as non-electrified models.

According to Mr. Kunal Behl, Vice President of Marketing & Sales, the new GST reforms come at a very opportune time for the auto industry. He stated that these measures will not only make vehicles more affordable but also provide a strong impetus to festive season demand.
