Kia Prices Reduced by Up to Rs 4.48 Lakh After GST Cut

Kia India has announced that it will fully pass on the benefits of the recent GST reduction to its customers. The new, lower prices will be effective from September 22, 2025. This makes popular Kia SUVs, including the Seltos, Sonet, and Carens, much more affordable and accessible for buyers ahead of the festive season. The move aligns with the company’s “customer-first” philosophy and commitment to a more affordable car-buying experience.

The GST Council’s decision to reduce tax rates on SUVs from 50% (28% GST + 22% cess) to a flat 40% has led to major price drops across Kia’s lineup. The price reductions range from thousands to several lakhs, depending on the model and variant. The largest cut is on the Kia Carnival, which is now cheaper by up to Rs 4,48,542. The Sonet and Syros also see significant benefits.

Mr. Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director and CEO of Kia India, said that the government’s reform is a “progressive and timely decision” that will boost the automotive sector’s growth. He added that the company is proud to pass on the full benefit to customers to ensure greater affordability. In addition to these GST-linked price cuts, Kia is also expected to offer new finance schemes and other festive offers to further increase customer confidence and drive sales momentum.
