Renault Slashes Prices After GST Cut

Great news for anyone thinking about buying a Renault! The company has announced that it will pass on the full benefit of the recent GST 2.0 reform to its customers. This means prices for their popular cars—the Kwid, Triber, and Kiger—have been reduced by a significant amount. This smart move comes just in time for the festive season, with the new prices starting on September 22, 2025.

Big Savings on the Kwid and Triber

Renault’s entry-level car, the Kwid, is now much cheaper. Depending on the model you choose, its price has dropped by Rs 40,095 to Rs 55,095. The versatile Triber also gets a substantial price cut, with savings from Rs 53,695 to Rs 80,195. This makes both cars even better value for money than before.

The Kiger Gets the Biggest Price Cut

The Renault Kiger compact SUV gets the biggest price drop of all. Some models are now cheaper by as much as Rs 96,395. This makes the Kiger one of the most affordable and attractive SUVs in its class, offering incredible value for its price.

A Smart Move for the Market

According to Venkatram Mamillapalle, the head of Renault India, this move is a sign of their commitment to customers. He believes it will not only make their cars more accessible but also boost sales during the festive season. This decision is based on a recent government reform that has lowered the GST on most small cars with engines under 1,500cc from 28% to 18%.
