The mid-size SUV segment just got hotter with the arrival of the updated MG SUV. The 2026 MG Hector Facelift has been launched with significant cosmetic updates and a revamped interior. While the mechanicals remain largely unchanged, the focus is clearly on enhancing the premium appeal and technology factor. Engine and Performance Specs
Under the hood, the new Hector retains the tried-and-tested 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. It does not get any performance revisions for this update. The engine produces 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual gearbox and a CVT automatic transmission.
The driving experience is supported by three drive modes on higher variants: Eco, Normal, and Sport. This allows drivers to tailor the vehicle’s response based on their preference.

MG Motor India has priced the new Hector aggressively, starting at Rs 11.99 lakh. The pricing structure covers both the 5-seater Hector and the 3-row Hector Plus. The 5-seater is available in Style, Select Pro, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro trims. The Hector Plus is positioned slightly higher.

Exterior and Interior Updates
The 2026 MG Hector Facelift features a bolder exterior design. The front fascia is dominated by a new chrome-heavy grille with a hexagonal pattern. Redesigned bumpers and new alloy wheels add to its muscular stance. MG has also introduced two new colours: Celadon Blue and Pearl White.
Inside, the cabin feels more premium. The 5-seater models get a dual-tone Ice Grey theme, while the 6 and 7-seater versions feature an Urban Tan interior. The dashboard highlights include a massive 14-inch HD portrait touchscreen with faster hardware. A new iSWIPE feature allows users to control climate and audio with simple finger gestures.
