Ford Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles Are Now Available on Amazon

Well-traveled netizens know that anything and everything you could need, including books, flat-screen TVs, and groceries, is just one click away. Now, a new-to-you vehicle could find its way onto your shopping list. In a major industry shift, the Blue Oval has announced that customers can now browse and purchase Ford certified pre-owned vehicles directly through Amazon Autos.

This new partnership marks a significant step in modernizing the car-buying experience. Following in the footsteps of Hyundai and Hertz, Ford is leveraging the massive reach of the e-commerce giant to put its “Ford Blue Advantage” inventory in front of millions of digital shoppers.

Ford’s approach is different from buying a toaster; you are browsing real inventory from local dealers. Here are the specifics of the program.

How It Works: From Click to Driveway

In an announcement released on November 17, Ford clarified that this isn’t just a listing site—it is an integrated buying tool. Prospective customers can browse inventory from participating dealers within a 75-mile radius of their location.

Through the Amazon Autos interface, shoppers can:

  • View itemized pricing.
  • Arrange financing from a selection of banks (including Ford Credit).
  • Complete most of the paperwork online.
  • Schedule a pickup or delivery.

Wendy Lane, senior manager of Ford’s Blue Advantage unit, noted that the goal is to leverage the trust consumers already have in Amazon. “Everyone has an Amazon account,” Lane stated. “Knowing that it is a trusted source for consumers… we’re really excited to see how it works.”

No Haggling, Just Driving

One of the biggest pain points in buying a used car is the negotiation table. Ford is removing that friction. All vehicles sold through this partnership will be listed with no-haggle set pricing.

This comes at a crucial time. With the average cost of a three-year-old used car reaching over $31,000 in late 2025, buyers are looking for transparency. Furthermore, because these are “Ford Blue Advantage” vehicles, they undergo rigorous multi-point inspections and come backed by limited warranties, adding a layer of security that a typical Craigslist transaction lacks.

What Comes Next?

Currently, the program is live in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Dallas, with plans to expand to more cities in the coming months. While Ford is currently focusing on used inventory, they have hinted at the possibility of selling new vehicles on the platform in the future, similar to Hyundai’s current arrangement.

For now, the partnership aims to drive foot traffic to local dealers while keeping buyers within the Ford ecosystem for future service and sales. It seems the days of spending hours at a dealership might be numbered—now, your next truck is just another item in your Amazon cart.
