Kia’s Big Plan: 3 New Premium SUVs Are Coming to India
Kia is getting ready for a major push in the Indian market, with plans to launch three new premium SUVs next year. The company is aiming to strengthen its position in the segments above Rs 10 lakh, targeting a wide range of customers. The new lineup will include the brand’s first made-in-India electric SUV, a next-generation version of a fan favorite, and a powerful new hybrid SUV.

1. Syros EV: A New Electric SUV
The Syros EV, Kia’s first electric SUV to be made in India, is set to launch in the first quarter of 2026. This new model will have a familiar design, but with a covered grille and a charging port on the right front fender. It will use LFP batteries, which will be made locally by Exide Energy, and is expected to have a real-world range of around 400 km. The Syros EV is likely to be priced between Rs 15-20 lakh (ex-showroom).
2. Next-Gen Seltos: A New Look for a Classic
The new generation of the Kia Seltos is expected to arrive in the second quarter of 2026. This updated model will have a familiar crossover feel, but with a new, unconventional design. Spy shots have shown it will have squarish headlights, unique vertical taillamps connected by a light band, and new geometric designs for the alloy wheels. The new Seltos will also get new features like ventilated rear seats and a power tailgate, along with Level 2 ADAS.
3. Sorento Hybrid: A New Powerhouse
As early as the end of 2026, Kia could launch its first hybrid SUV in India, the rumored Sorento. The company is planning to use a new MQ4i chassis specifically for the Indian market, which will allow for a high level of local manufacturing. While the global model has a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine, Kia might use a smaller 1.5-liter engine to make the car more affordable for India.
