2026 Lexus ES Unveiled with Sleeker Design and New EV Powertrain
The 2026 Lexus ES has been introduced in a new 60-second video, marking the debut of the eighth generation of its long-running luxury sedan. Revealed through a new global marketing push titled “The Standard of Amazing,” the updated ES arrives with a cleaner design language, a larger footprint than before, and a choice of hybrid or fully electric powertrains. This move is aimed at keeping the model competitive as more luxury buyers transition to electrified vehicles.
Lexus is positioning the sedan as a refined, tech-forward alternative in the segment. This aligns it with broader brand efforts seen across its lineup, including recent EV updates like the 2026 Lexus RZ.



Redesigned Exterior and New Powertrains
The 2026 Lexus ES introduces a sleeker silhouette with sharper body lines and a reinterpreted front fascia. Inside, Lexus has significantly upgraded the cabin, which now features a 14-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital cluster, and an updated infotainment system that supports wireless phone integration.
Underpinning the car is the TNGA GA-K platform, which now accommodates multiple powertrains. This includes a revised hybrid tuned for better efficiency and, for the first time, two new battery-electric (EV) variants. These EV models are expected to deliver roughly 250–300 miles of range, depending on the configuration.
