2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 Ushers In a Year of Special Editions
The 2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 is the first of 12 limited-edition Wranglers launching over the next year as Jeep kicks off its 85th-anniversary celebration. Dubbed the “Twelve 4 Twelve” celebration, this campaign starts on a high note by equipping the new 2026 Jeep-Wrangler Moab 392 with the brand’s legendary 470-horsepower Hemi V8 and a host of premium off-road features. Orders for this initial special edition are now open.
A Bumper Year Ahead for Wrangler Fans
The unprecedented campaign is bound to keep Jeep Wrangler enthusiasts entertained over the next 12 months. Jeep will unveil a new limited-edition Wrangler model on the 12th of each month, paying tribute to the 85 years of off-road leadership that has seen over seven million Wranglers sold.
“Each product release will embody the boldness, authenticity and unapologetic spirit that defines our brand,” said Bob Broderdorf, CEO of Jeep. The campaign will also feature the “Operation Airdrop” social media series, which acknowledges the brand-defining moment of the Willys MB being parachuted onto battlefields nearly 85 years ago.
2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392: Power and Capability
At the heart of this special 2026 Jeep-Wrangler Moab 392 is the 6.4-liter Hemi V8, producing 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. It’s equipped for serious off-roading straight from the factory:
- 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels
- 35-inch all-terrain tires
- A 4.56 axle ratio
- The 2.72:1 Selec-Trac full-time transfer case
- A cold-air intake hood with a water separator
Outside, the 2026 Jeep-Wrangler Moab 392 gets a body-color hardtop, black tow hooks, mold-in-color fender flares, and rock protection sill rails. The model shown is finished in a striking purple (Reign Purple).
The interior features heated Nappa leather seats, a premium Alpine sound system, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen interface with navigation. Optional extras include the Sky One-Touch powertop, all-weather mats, and an 8,000-lb WARN winch.
The 2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 starts at $79,995, plus a $1,995 destination charge.
What About The Rest of The 2026 Wrangler Lineup?
Jeep didn’t highlight any major changes to the rest of the 2026 Wrangler lineup, which remains available in Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, and Rubicon X trims. The familiar 3.6L Pentastar V6 (285 hp) remains standard on most models, with the 2.0-liter turbo-four (270 hp) and the 4xe plug-in hybrid (375 hp) also available.
Final Thoughts
While 12 new special editions are exciting, the campaign may also be seen as a distraction from the fact that the JL Wrangler is aging. This generation first went into production in late 2017 and now faces modern, comfortable rivals like the Ford Bronco. Although the JL’s iconic design and class-leading off-road capabilities keep it relevant, its imprecise steering, bouncy ride, and intrusive road noise are well-known compromises. We look forward to the next 11 special editions, but we also hope to hear about Jeep’s plans for a thoroughly revised Wrangler soon.
